That map is further evolving so more trail(s) will be added. For now though, we are ready to go for winter and early spring. The Saghro Mountains are Morocco’s wild volcanic heart between the Atlas and the Sahara, shaped by millions of years of erosion. You will find sharp basalt pinnacles, rocky plateaus, deep canyons and surreal lunar landscapes. It is the traditional homeland of the Aït Atta, one of Morocco’s most renowned Berber tribes.
The Rose Valley lies adjacent to the Saghro Mountains. Each April and May, millions of Damask roses (Rosa Damascena) bloom, filling the valley with fragrance and colour. Local women harvest the roses by hand and they are processed into rose water, essential oils, creams, and perfumes exported worldwide. The roses were introduced centuries ago, likely by traders from Persia along caravan routes. The valley is peppered with traditional adobe buildings and ancient Kasbahs.

Kyrgyzstan is a landlocked country in Central Asia lying in the Tian Shan and Pamir mountain ranges, smaller in size than the UK with a population of less than 7 million people. Kyrgyz people are an ethnic nomadic group which is believed to have come from a region within Siberia, during the 10th and 15th centuries. They have mixed with all kinds of groups, especially Mongols and Turks.
Kyrgyzstan is home to some of the finest world-class hikes, connecting sweeping steppe lands, primal forests and turquoise lakes into a vista of lofty snow-capped peaks that, until some decades ago, were strictly off limits. These days, nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts quickly realise that trekking in Kyrgyzstan can easily rival Patagonian and the Himalayas.
